Robert McLaughlin Gallery

Project Overview

The Robert McLaughlin Gallery project involved the renovation and enhancement of outdoor public space at an active cultural facility in Oshawa. Paver King supported the work through organized site preparation, grading, accessible pathway work, landscape construction and finishing.

Our work supported improved access, usability and landscape integration in an outdoor area used by the gallery and the surrounding community, while helping prepare the site for summer programming and visitor use.

Project Details

This institutional project required efficient scheduling within an active environment. The work had to be completed with attention to public access, safety, grading, drainage, accessibility and final finish quality.

Paver King began with demolition and site preparation, readying existing surfaces and site areas for the new outdoor improvements. Grading then helped establish proper elevations, surface transitions and drainage direction across the project area, with drainage considerations incorporated into the grading and surface preparation to support long-term performance.

Pathway work improved pedestrian access and helped connect the outdoor public space to the surrounding facility. Landscape work helped integrate the finished outdoor space with its natural surroundings, and final grading and planting completed the project and prepared the space for public use.

The team worked efficiently to help complete the landscape package within the required timeline. Equipment on the project included excavators, skid steers, compaction equipment, trucking support and landscape construction equipment.

The project demonstrates Paver King’s experience working on institutional projects where accessibility, safety, scheduling and finish quality all matter.
